Usage
Use Adapalene Gel as directed by your doctor.
Before applying the cream, wash and dry your hands and wash the affected area with mild soap or soapless cleanser. Apply a thin film of the Adapalene Gel to the affected area and gently rub in.
You can use gauze pad or cotton swab to apply the solution.
Do not use for diaper rashes.
If you apply Adapalene Gel on the skin of your infant in the diaper area, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants.
After applying the medication, wash your hands unless you are using this medication to treat the hands.
Use Adapalene Gel only for the condition prescribed. Do not use it for longer than recommended.
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Do NOT use this medicine if
You are allergic to any ingredient in Adapalene Gel.
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
Important safety information
Adapalene Gel may take 8 to 12 weeks to start working. Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.
Use Adapalene Gel locally only on the skin. Do not use it on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed to do so by your doctor.
If you are applying Adapalene Gel near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes as this cause eye problem. Also, avoid getting Adapalene Gel in the nose or mouth. If you get the medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse with plenty of water.
Before you use any other cream or medicine for skin care or treatment, discuss with your doctor.
If the area to be treated has an infection, sore, ulcer or is cut, do not apply Adapalene Gel.
Your condition may worsen in the early stages of using Adapalene Gel. This is due to the action of Adapalene Gel on unseen lesions.
Adapalene Gel can make your skin more sensitive to sunburns more. Avoid the sun, sunlamps, or tanning booths. Wear protective clothing if you have to be outside for long time.
Use Adapalene Gel with caution in CHILDREN younger than 12 years old as safety and effectiveness have not been confirmed ,
PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: Adapalene Gel should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether Adapalene Gel, when applied to the skin, passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
